Maya series
“Maya” is the Sanskrit word meaning illusion or magic. These artworks are inspired by the artist’s imagination, psychedelic experiences and from being in altered states of consciousness. Visual hallucinations constantly inspire new ways of seeing the world and abstracting the natural physical world and imagining alternate realities and dimensions. The artist takes inspiration from microbiology, flora, fauna and the natural world—then transmutes natural shapes and forms into otherworldly creations.
